Learn Vedic Meditation --- a simple meditation technique for everyone

Creating World Peace Is An Inside Job
~ Anonymous

Before we get too caught up in which presidential candidate is gaining in the polls it’s good to remember that national leaders are a reflection of the state of our collective consciousness.

Every day---as a result of our individual interactions---each one of us emits into the atmosphere an energy level that has either a more peaceful vibration or a more stressed vibration.  This can be felt in tangible ways from city to city.  For instance, you may experience that a place like New York City has a slightly heavier vibratory frequency than the collective consciousness of, say, Maui.

Our individual contribution to peace or stress is what creates the fabric of the collective consciousness.

And as a result, our leadership is directly drawn from the collective consciousness.  A collective consciousness that is more stressed produces leaders who go around starting wars and things.  A collective consciousness that is more adaptable produces leadership that advocates for finding peaceful solutions to disputes.

But no matter how we spin it, we can’t get around the fact that creating peace begins with us---on a personal level.

If, individually, we say we want world peace, but we’re not willing to do any internal work to create a peaceful inner world, then our outer world will not reflect that desire, no matter how much we protest, demonstrate or vote.

However, once we start working toward creating a sustainable, peaceful inner world, then we will see our outer world spontaneously shift, and our leadership will reflect that vibratory shift.

You can’t have a green forest unless every tree in the forest is green.

Days and nights are irresistibly passing by and each moment presents us with another opportunity to add positivity and adaptability into the social fabric.  There are many ways to do this: through yoga, the act of service, giving, etc.

One of the easiest and most direct methods that I have personally experienced for creating peace on an individual level is through practicing daily meditation.  I have had so many profound results from Vedic Meditation that I felt inspired to learn how to teach it to others.  And that’s what I’ve been up to lately.

Vedic Meditation is both rooted in ancient wisdom and accessible for everyday folks--- including people who can’t quiet their mind and people who feel as though they are too busy to meditate.

Thousands of “regular” people have learned this technique in Los Angeles over the last 5 years, including doctors, studio execs, film makers, bankers. Why? Because people are discovering that Vedic Meditation is so simple to practice, while the physical and psychological benefits are countless.

And coming back to politics---in addition to having more adaptation energy through practicing Vedic Meditation, you will become less stressed, more rested, and therefore have a more legitimate impact on campaigns that reflect the values of peace, compassion and understanding.

Whereas the old question of a responsible citizen was: “Hey, did you remember to vote?”  The new question will soon be: “What are you doing to create internal peace?”

With much love and gratitude,

Light
