the introductory talk
To begin learning, you are first invited to a free information session called an "Introductory Talk" where you will have the opportunity to meet Light in person and hear more details about the practice of Vedic meditation. These talks are designed to:

1) Give you a better understanding of how the Vedic meditation technique works
2) Show you how you can benefit from practicing this technique
3) Explain why this technique is more sustainable than most other meditation practices
4) Describe what will be required of you if you choose to learn

By the end of my talk, you will be able to make an informed decision about whether this is the right practice for you. The average talk lasts for no more than one hour, including a Q & A session at the end. These talks are for your informational purposes only. They do not include any meditating and you have no obligation to proceed further if you decide this is not the right practice for you.

the course
If, after hearing the Intro Talk, you decide you want to learn Vedic Meditation, you will have an opportunity to sign up for a meditation course that either begins the next day or at some point in the future.

This is not a technique that you can learn overnight or in a book. In order to learn properly, you must participate in this short group course, which is comprised of four consecutive 90-minute sessions spread out over four days.

Although the format is easy going and enjoyable, it is very informative. The course is sequentially designed to give you plenty of time to learn and practice the technique, ask questions about your experiences and benefit from hearing other's experiences.

By the end of the course you will have a deep understanding of how this practice works, as well as all of the tools and practice you need to be a completely self-sufficient meditator.

Private courses are available upon request for those who have special needs or who prefer one-on-one instruction.

the cost
At the start of your course, you will be asked to give a meaningful contribution (one which you decide for yourself) based on earnings. This will serve as your one-time course fee and will advance fund any future participation in the basic meditation course as well as all group meditations and knowledge meetings. This ancient, time-honored tradition of giving whatever amount feels meaningful ensures that all will have an opportunity to learn this technique.

the practice
Vedic meditation is one of the oldest, most effortless and natural forms of meditation which has been taught in its purity since it was first practiced in ancient India. The practice is extremely simple! It is a mental technique practiced with the eyes closed while sitting comfortably in a chair for only 20 minutes twice a day.

The technique includes the use of a mantra
. Instead of chanting, focusing or concentrating on anything, this practice is all about being natural, effortless, innocent and simple. Unlike many other meditation techniques, Vedic meditation is renowned for being easy to integrate into the busy lifestyle of a householder.

People from all walks of life (including popular film directors, rock stars, actors, and even grandmothers and children) have learned this technique and are reaping the benefits from Vedic Meditation every day.
